As with any other off-campus course, courses taken while studying abroad must be evaluated for a Catholic University equivalency. Even if the study abroad program is offered by Catholic University, transfer of credit is not automatic. As part of the application process, students must meet with the Academic Advising Coordinator for their major, and the Academic Advising Coordinator must approve each individual course. The transfer credit office does not meet with students regarding the study abroad credit approval process except in particularly complex cases. Evaluations are not done in the presence of the student.

To begin the evaluation process for study abroad courses, view the Transfer of Credit Process page for step-by-step instructions.
