Students may seek to transfer credit to The Catholic University of America from other academic institutions for a number of reasons. You may wish to complete your undergraduate degree at Catholic University after beginning at a community college or at another four-year institution. You may be a current Catholic University student interested in earning credit for a summer course, or you may be in the process of selecting courses for a semester abroad.

Whatever your situation, this page contains resources to guide you through the process of receiving credit for courses taken outside of Catholic University.

  • All transfer courses must be evaluated for equivalency before credit is given.
  • Credit may be denied for courses that do not meet the appropriate criteria.

For more information about these criteria, explore the links below, review Catholic University's University Academic Transfer of Credit Policy, and read the FAQs.

Please review all of the resources available on this site before contacting the Transfer Credit Coordinator with questions.
