Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

Students are encouraged to review our AP Credit Chart to see score requirements for Catholic University.  Students should ensure that they have requested an official score report from The College Board be sent to Catholic University.  Catholic University's school code is 5104.

AP tests must be taken before a student matriculates to Catholic University (generally before July 15). Scores are generally posted in early September, but students can request their report be sent any time, and notify the Office of Transfer Credit that they would like their report reviewed.  

International Baccalaureate (IB) Credit

Students are encouraged to view our IB Credit Chart to see score requirements by course for Catholic University. Students should ensure that they have requested an official score report from IB be sent to Catholic University. 

IB tests must be taken before a student matriculates to Catholic University (generally before July 15). Scores are generally posted in late August. Students are able to request a review at any point in the year and encouraged to contact us at cua-transfercredit@cua.edu with questions.

College Level Placement (CLEP)

CLEP is another opportunity managed by the College Board for students to earn college level credit by taking tests in specific areas. Students are encouraged to view our CLEP Credit Chart. Students should ensure that they have requested an official score report from The College Board be sent to Catholic University.

CLEP tests must be taken before a student matriculates to Catholic University (generally before July 15). Once an official report request has been made, students should notify cua-transfercredit@cua.edu of their desire for a review of CLEP scores. 

Advanced Level Qualifications (A-Levels)

A-Level Equivalency information is currently under review, and will be updated in the next few months.
